Overview

• Francesco Calvo succeeds Chris Heck as President of Business Operations at Aston Villa, with his appointment effective July 2025.
• He formally resigned as Managing Director of Revenue and Institutional Relations at Juventus to join the Premier League club.
• Calvo brings experience from senior commercial positions at Juventus, FC Barcelona and AS Roma, and has managed relations with FIFA, UEFA, ECA and Serie A.
• His arrival dovetails with owner Nassef Sawiris’s roughly €800 million investment since 2018, which has helped Villa reach this season’s Champions League quarterfinals.
• Calvo has vowed to work closely with the chairman, board and manager Unai Emery to accelerate the club’s growth on and off the pitch.
