Asteroid 2024 PT5 to Become Earth's Mini-Moon for Two Months

The asteroid, measuring 33 feet in diameter, will orbit Earth from late September to November before returning to its solar orbit.

Asteroid 2024 PT5 was discovered on August 7 and is approximately 10 meters wide.
It will be captured by Earth's gravity from September 29 to November 25, making a single orbit around the planet.
2024 PT5 is likely a natural object, potentially an Arjuna asteroid or a fragment from the Moon.
The asteroid will not be visible to the naked eye due to its dim magnitude.
2024 PT5 is expected to return to Earth's orbit in January 2025 and again in 2055.
