Assassin’s Creed Shadows Update Raises Level Cap to 100 as Claws of Awaji Lands Next Week

The pre-expansion patch overhauls endgame progression and introduces Ezio-themed rewards ahead of a free Bo staff quest unlocking on September 16.

Overview

  • Ubisoft’s 1.1.1 patch is live, setting the stage for Claws of Awaji on September 16, which adds 10+ hours and advances Naoe and Yasuke’s arcs with planned closure on key threads.
  • Progression expands with a level-100 cap, 20 new hideout enhancements across three new ranks, and Forge level 6 enabling Mythic and Artifact gear tiers.
  • Quality-of-life changes include a meditative time skip, upgraded scouts that reveal viewpoints and safehouses, and province fog removal after syncing all viewpoints with Kakurega level 4.
  • Sanctuary, a new Animus Hub project, offers Ezio-inspired cosmetics, including the Rooftop Cat companion.
  • A free story quest on September 16 grants Naoe a Bo staff to all players regardless of DLC ownership, as the update also delivers numerous fixes and uncaps PC cutscene framerates.
