Overview
- At Jagiroad on August 23, the government disbursed Rs 10,000 each to 37,713 self-help group members, totaling about Rs 38 crore.
- The second phase began in Nalbari on August 22, where 33,909 women received the first installment, including 31,179 from rural panchayats and 2,730 from the municipal area.
- Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the scheme targets 40 lakh women statewide with Rs 4,000 crore committed over the next three months.
