  • Anuradha Sharma Pujari’s biography of Hazarika will be translated into 23 Indian languages and distributed to 400,000 libraries, colleges, universities and government offices, with copies sent to one million Assam families.
  • The Assam Cabinet approved renaming Dibrugarh airport after Hazarika pending ratification by the state legislature and clearance from the central government.
  • The government is in discussions with the Reserve Bank of India and the Ministry of Finance to issue a commemorative coin and plans to launch a nationwide essay-writing competition through a dedicated portal.
