Assam Transfers 14 IAS and ACS Officers in Statewide Reshuffle

- The Personnel Department order dated December 25 reassigns 14 officers across districts and departments in what the government says is a governance-focused realignment.
- Kamrup (Metro) DC Sumit Sattawan was moved to Tinsukia, with Tinsukia DC Swapneel Paul taking charge in Kamrup (Metro).
- Sivasagar DC Aayush Garg and Cachar DC Mridul Yadav exchanged postings, as did Dhubri DC Dibakar Nath and Bongaigaon DC Nabadeep Pathak.
- Aranyak Saikia was appointed District Commissioner of Karbi Anglong, while incumbent Nirala Phangshopi shifted to the Hill Areas Department as Additional Secretary.
- Other changes included Masanda Magdalin Pertin to Joint Secretary in Finance, Simi Karan as Tamulpur DC, Pubali Gohain as Darrang DC, Pulak Mahanta as Inspector General of Prisons, Parag Kumar Kakaty as Golaghat DC, and Pankaj Chakravarty as Kokrajhar DC with an additional training role.
