• Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma oversaw disbursals to 37,713 SHG members in Jagiroad, each receiving Rs 10,000 as the scheme’s first instalment.
• A day earlier in Nalbari, 33,909 beneficiaries—31,179 in rural areas and 2,730 in the municipality—received the initial transfer.
• The government projects coverage of about 40 lakh women with a near-term outlay of roughly Rs 4,000 crore.
• Beneficiaries face a one-year utilisation review that can unlock Rs 25,000 next year through a state grant and bank linkage, followed by eligibility for loans up to Rs 50,000 with interest support and a 25% subsidy.
