Overview
- Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the Amrit Kalash Yatra on November 6, saying 540 kalash were collected with half sent to Delhi and the rest preserved for local use including the Kanaklata Barua University bhoomi pujan.
- Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is slated to visit November 7–8 to meet around 300 youth at the Jagiroad semiconductor unit, inaugurate the Guwahati waterway terminal and Uzan Bazar riverfront, and lay the foundation stone for Kanaklata Barua State University at Gohpur.
- The greenfield university carries a Rs 500 crore outlay on over 750 bighas at Bholaguri Tea Estate, with tenders and worker compensation reported complete and IIT Guwahati professor Parameshwar Iyer appointed as mentor.

- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected in December to open the new LGBI Airport terminal and lay the foundation for the Rs 10,601 crore Namrup ammonia–urea complex, with the Guwahati–North Guwahati bridge inauguration planned for January subject to final dates.
