Assam Schedules Sitharaman’s Project Inaugurations and Rajnath Singh’s IAF Show Visit for Nov. 7–9

The state links the visits to a development drive plus a public military showcase aimed at engaging youth.

Overview

On November 7, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will visit the Jagiroad semiconductor site and inaugurate the Guwahati Gateway Terminal along with the Guwahati riverfront.
On November 8, she is slated to lay the foundation stone for Swahid Kanaklata Barua State University at the Bholaguri tea estate in Gohpur.
On November 9, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will attend an Indian Air Force flying display at Lachit Ghat on the Brahmaputra in Guwahati.
The flypast will be open to the public with designated viewing areas along the riverbank, according to the announcements.
Assam’s chief minister said the air show could feature up to 150 IAF aircraft, including MiG, Rafale and Sukhoi types, as reported by The Sentinel.
