• Assam Rifles (South) held a felicitation at Mantripukhri Garrison on June 25 to recognise nine officers commissioned on June 14 into the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Assam Rifles.
• Six of the newly commissioned officers are alumni of Sainik School Imphal, highlighting the academy’s prominence in defence education.
• Commissioning allocations included four officers in the Gorkha Rifles, two in the Regiment of Artillery and one each in the Grenadiers, Assam Rifles and Indian Air Force.
• Maj. Gen. Ravroop Singh lauded the officers’ dedication and honoured their families for the support and sacrifices behind their achievements.
• Assistant Commandant Hingba Graceson R’s rise from Assam Rifles recruit in 2005 to commissioned officer exemplifies long-term career progression within the force.
