• Assam Rifles recovered two improvised explosive devices weighing 12 kg each during a search in Jiribam’s Makhabasti area.
• A bomb disposal team destroyed the devices on site using service explosives after finding power sources and 12 meters of detonation cord.
• Officials said the swift disposal averted a potential mass-casualty incident and safeguarded nearby residents and property.
• Based on multiple inputs, coordinated operations were launched in New Namtiram in Tamenglong, Sekmai in Imphal West, and Kotzim in Kangpokpi.
• Security forces recovered 25 weapons, including two looted arms and items such as an HK G3 rifle, pistols, bolt-action rifles, improvised mortars, and a tube launcher.
