Assam Police Honors 21 Officers With Sishu Mitra Awards 2025 in Guwahati

- Assam DGP Harmeet Singh presented the Sishu Mitra Awards 2025 at the Assam Police Institute in Ulubari, Guwahati.
- Twenty-one officers spanning ranks from Inspectors General to Sub-Inspectors were recognized for child protection and child-friendly policing.
- Awardees included IGP Devojyoti Mukherjee, SSP Barun Purkayastha, SSP Nabaneet Mahanta, ASP Muzaffar Hussain and others listed by Assam Police.
- Special Recognition Awards honored WCD secretary Partha Pratim Mazumdar for enabling plans for child-friendly corners in police stations, forensic expert Dr Raktim Tamuli and psychologist Dr Mythili Hazarika.
