Assam Launches 'Dream Hubs' School Overhaul; Opens Sports Complexes and Water Scheme in Golaghat

  • The newly inaugurated outdoor stadium at Golaghat Government Bezbaruah Higher Secondary School was built with Rs 3.5 crore in CSR funding from Numaligarh Refinery and features a sports museum curated by eminent Assam athletes.
  • An indoor stadium developed under the City Infrastructure Development Fund at a cost of about Rs 7.94 crore now provides six table tennis boards and five badminton courts to support local talent.
  • The chief minister laid the foundation for a Rs 130 crore project to deliver 24-hour drinking water from the Dhansiri River to some 55,000 residents of Golaghat town.
  • The state leverages a mix of government allocations, corporate social responsibility contributions and urban infrastructure grants to drive education, sports and public utility upgrades.
