Overview

• Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta and manager Siddharth Sharma must appear in Guwahati on October 6 to give statements in the CID–SIT investigation.
• Mahanta’s bank accounts and credit cards have been frozen, and lookout circulars restrict overseas travel for the two key figures named by the chief minister.
• SIT and CID teams raided multiple residences, seized electronic devices and documents, and summoned or questioned associates and witnesses linked to the Singapore yacht outing.
• Prominent artistes filed an FIR at the CID Police Station alleging negligence, abetment and financial irregularities by Mahanta, Sharma and others, invoking provisions for offences committed abroad.
• Authorities are seeking the Singapore autopsy report, noted that a second post-mortem in Guwahati is ready, sent viscera to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Delhi, and requested a judicial commission with a possible CBI transfer if required.
