Overview
- At Jagiroad, 37,713 SHG women received the first instalment of Rs 10,000, with disbursements totaling about Rs 38 crore.
- In Margherita, cheques were handed to 18,370 beneficiaries under the second phase, including 16,603 from rural areas and 1,767 from municipal areas.
- Earlier in Nalbari, nearly 34,000 women got the initial transfer of Rs 10,000, and the district tally is slated to reach 94,841 after upcoming distributions.
- The programme advances from a Rs 10,000 seed grant to Rs 25,000 in year two (Rs 15,000 state support plus Rs 10,000 via banks), followed by loans up to Rs 50,000 with interest support and a 25% subsidy.
