• Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams formally requested a five-acre land grant in Guwahati from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for a new Srivari temple.
• Chief Minister Sarma assured full government support and confirmed the allocation of the requested land to facilitate construction.
• TTD plans to collaborate with Assam authorities on architectural design, project planning and on-site management once the land transfer is finalized.
• The Guwahati temple project is part of TTD’s multi-phase initiative to expand its Sri Venkateswara temple network across India and internationally.
• The TTD Board has earmarked Rs 5,258 crore for domestic and overseas temple projects and formed expert and feasibility committees to oversee execution.
