Assam CID Steps Up Zubeen Garg Death Probe After Family FIR Naming Organiser, Manager

  • Actress Nishita Goswami and co-musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami appeared before the CID on Saturday for questioning, with fresh summons issued for additional rounds including Amritprabha Mahanta.
  • Investigators raided the homes of Mahanta, Sharma and Shekhar Jyoti Goswami on September 25 and again on Friday, seizing storage devices, a computer CPU and documents.
  • Authorities have issued lookout notices and directed Mahanta and Sharma to present themselves to the CID in Guwahati by October 6, while Singapore’s post-mortem lists drowning as the cause of death.
