• Assam Police detained personal security officers Nandeswar Bora and Paresh Baishya, who were suspended earlier this week and presented before a magistrate.
• Officials said the arrests followed detection of unusually large deposits—about Rs 70 lakh and Rs 40 lakh—in the officers’ bank accounts.
• With the latest detentions, seven people are now under arrest, including organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta and manager Siddharth Sharma, who were earlier charged under BNS sections including murder, along with bandmates Shekharjyoti Goswami and Amritprava Mahanta, and cousin-APS officer Sandipan Garg.
