Overview

• The Assam cabinet approved a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs4,000 for ASHA workers, up from Rs3,000, effective October 1, 2025.
• It also raised the fixed monthly honorarium for ASHA supervisors to Rs10,200 from Rs9,000 starting the same date.
• The central government’s contribution for ASHA workers will increase to Rs2,500 per month while the state share will rise to Rs1,500.
• For ASHA supervisors, the state government’s share will go up to Rs2,700 monthly and the central share will remain at Rs7,500.
• Health Minister Ashok Singhal and Industry Minister Bimal Borah announced the decision at a media briefing in Guwahati.
