ASRock Unveils H610M Combo Board With DDR4 or DDR5 Support

The design targets cost-conscious upgrades as memory prices surge.

Overview

  • The micro-ATX H610M Combo carries six DIMM slots—four for DDR5 and two for DDR4—with only one memory generation usable at a time.
  • It supports Intel 12th-, 13th-, and 14th‑gen Core CPUs on LGA1700, enabling dual-channel configurations up to 96GB DDR5‑4800 or 64GB DDR4 at up to 3800 MT/s.
  • As an entry-level H610 platform, it is limited to PCIe 4.0 with one full-speed x16 slot, two x16-length slots wired as x1, and a legacy PCIe slot.
  • Storage and I/O include one M.2 slot at Gen3 speeds, four SATA ports, and rear connectors such as USB‑C, PS/2, 2.5G LAN, VGA, DVI, HDMI, and audio jacks.
  • The board was just announced, is not yet widely available, and was not listed on ASRock’s global site, with coverage tying its appeal to sharp DRAM price increases.
