ASRock and MSI Announce Support for 256 GB Memory Capacity

The higher capacity is made possible by using Kingston Fury Renegade 64 GB modules, built on Micron's 1-beta technology.

ASRock and MSI, two leading motherboard manufacturers, have announced support for memory capacities up to 256 GB.
The higher memory capacity is made possible by populating each of the four DIMM slots with Kingston Fury Renegade 64 GB modules.
Both manufacturers have demonstrated this capacity on their respective AMD and Intel platforms.
The new memory modules are built on Micron's 1-beta technology, which provides higher performance, increased bit density, and better power efficiency.
Although the 64 GB modules are not yet available to the general public, the manufacturers have been using pre-production parts for testing.
