Stakeholders approved 6:30 pm local starts to protect player welfare, with only UAE vs Oman remaining a daytime fixture.

Overview

  • Revised timings cover 18 of 19 matches, now at 6:30 pm Gulf Standard Time (8:00 pm IST), with UAE vs Oman on September 15 unchanged at 4:00 pm local (5:30 pm IST).
  • The Emirates Cricket Board announced the change with confirmation from the Asian Cricket Council after unusually hot conditions were flagged.
  • India vs Pakistan on September 14 in Dubai will now begin at 8:00 pm IST, preserving the fixture and venue.
  • The tournament runs in the UAE from September 9 to 28 as an eight-team T20 event split across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
  • Broadcasters agreed to the adjustment following proposals from organisers and boards focused on reducing heat-related risks.
