Ashwini Bhide Named Principal Secretary to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

The experienced IAS officer will continue as MD of Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation while assuming her new role in the Chief Minister's Office.

Ashwini Bhide, a 1995-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Principal Secretary to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Bhide will concurrently retain her position as Managing Director of the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC).
She is recognized for her pivotal role in advancing major infrastructure projects, including Mumbai Metro Line 3 and the Mumbai Coastal Road project.
This marks the first time a woman IAS officer will serve in the Chief Minister's Office in Maharashtra.
Bhide's appointment reflects Fadnavis's strategy to bolster his administration with experienced officials to oversee key infrastructure initiatives.
