Ashwin Says Rajasthan Royals Should Commit to One Home Ground for IPL 2026

Ravi Ashwin called the split-home setup unfair and urged Rajasthan Royals to play the entire season at a single ground, even if it is Guwahati.
Rajasthan will host their first three home fixtures at Barasapara in Guwahati, with venues for later home games yet to be confirmed, and they open against Chennai Super Kings on March 30.
Since 2023, the Royals have won two of six matches played in Guwahati.
Referencing his stint as Punjab Kings captain when games were moved to Indore, Ashwin said shifting home bases is a significant competitive factor.
Captain Riyan Parag said Jaipur pitches are slow and Guwahati surfaces sticky, praised the Bishnoi–Jadeja spin pairing, and Ashwin added that signing Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran was a slight upgrade.
