Overview
- The show opened on October 24 at Ashiya Seaside Park in Fukuoka’s Ashiya Town and runs daily 10:00–21:00 through November 9 with nighttime illumination.
- Signature works include a T. rex versus Triceratops piece about 4 meters high and 8 meters wide and a brachiosaurus roughly 6 meters tall and 10 meters wide.
- Eleven major sculptures were created by eight artists from seven countries and three from Japan, with additional displays by middle and high school students.
- Producer Katsuhiko Chaen invited visitors to experience the scale and precision of what he described as world‑class sand carving.
- The event is organized by an executive committee formed by Ashiya Town, and after last year’s rain-triggered cancellation it opened to strong crowds and hopes for fair weather.
