Ashfika Rahman Wins 2024 Future Generation Art Prize

The Bangladeshi artist is recognized for her work highlighting women's roles and marginalized stories.

Ashfika Rahman received the prestigious Future Generation Art Prize, awarded by the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Rahman's winning piece, 'Behula and a Thousand Tales,' explores themes of women's roles in society using photography, prints, text, and sculpture.
The prize includes a $60,000 cash award and $40,000 to support her artistic practice.
The exhibition, delayed due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, features 21 shortlisted artists from nearly 200 countries.
Five additional artists received special prizes, sharing a $20,000 award among them.
