Asda’s George Unveils 28-Piece Adaptive Clothing Line Honouring Nicky Newman, Out Sept. 15

Developed with the late campaigner Nicky Newman, the 28-piece line offers affordable medical-access garments priced £11 to £24.

Overview

  • The adult range adds features such as openings for feeding tubes, discreet stoma pockets, PICC and port access points, easy-open fastenings, and metal-free zips suitable for MRI scans.
  • Styles include joggers, T-shirts and hoodies designed with side waist zips, underarm access and concealed pouches to support treatment needs.
  • George states all 28 items will be available online at george.com from Monday, Sept. 15, while at least one outlet reports the collection will also be in stores.
  • The project took nearly two years, drawing on lived experience and clinical input, and continues Newman’s push for dignified, practical clothing during treatment.
  • Trial participants, including medical professional Sarah Phillips, praised the range as a "game-changer," as major retailers expand inclusive offerings after similar moves by Primark earlier this year.
