• Oakland reinstated Jacob Wilson on Aug. 22 before the series opener at T-Mobile Park following a late-July left forearm fracture that stemmed from a July 8 hit-by-pitch.
• Wilson completed a four-game rehab at Triple-A Las Vegas starting Aug. 16, going 3-for-14 with a home run and a double while reporting no pain in his swing.
• He still leads all MLB rookies with 115 hits and ranks second among AL rookies in batting average and home runs with 10.
• The A’s placed Jack Perkins (right shoulder strain) and Ben Bowden (left lat strain) on the 15-day IL, recalled Joey Estes and Eduarniel Nuñez, and optioned Max Schuemann to Triple-A.
• Oakland entered the day 17-8 since July 24, adding Wilson back atop an offense that has been producing alongside standouts Nick Kurtz, Shea Langeliers, Brent Rooker, and Tyler Soderstrom.
