A's Acquire Infielder Abraham Toro from Brewers

Oakland Athletics strengthen their roster with Toro, add three prospects to 40-man roster, and provide injury updates.

Athletics acquire infielder Abraham Toro from the Brewers in exchange for minor league right-hander Chad Patrick.
Toro, 26, had a .291 average with eight home runs and 58 RBIs in 96 games at Triple-A Nashville last season.
Patrick, acquired by the A's from the Diamondbacks at the 2023 Trade Deadline, had a 4-11 record with a 5.59 ERA across Double-A and Triple-A.
Before the Rule 5 Draft deadline, the A's added three prospects to their 40-man roster, bringing the total to 37 players.
Injury updates: RHP Angel Felipe and LHP Sean Newcomb are expected to be ready for Spring Training, while RHP Freddy Tarnok and RHP Zach Jackson's return dates are yet to be determined.
