Arvind Singh Mewar, 76th Custodian of Mewar Dynasty, Dies at 81

The prominent royal figure and heritage conservationist passed away at Udaipur's City Palace after a prolonged illness.

Arvind Singh Mewar, descendant of Maharana Pratap and 76th custodian of the House of Mewar, died at 81 in Udaipur after a long illness.
He was instrumental in transforming Udaipur into a global tourism destination through heritage conservation and the HRH Group of Hotels.
A former cricketer and polo player, Mewar debuted in the Ranji Trophy in 1961 and founded 'The Udaipur Cup' in the UK.
Mewar also served as Chairman of the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, promoting cultural preservation and philanthropy.
His funeral will take place on Monday, with Udaipur City Palace closed to visitors as a mark of respect.
