Arunachal Pradesh Approves State Youth Policy 2025 to Empower Young People

  • On August 8, the Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu ratified the State Youth Policy 2025, launching its implementation across the state.
  • The policy outlines nine Youth Development Goals covering education, employment, entrepreneurship, wellness, leadership, culture, civic engagement and social inclusion.
  • Cabinet approvals include disability pension eligibility expanded to all persons with disabilities under the Chief Minister Social Security Scheme.
  • Higher education infrastructure will be bolstered by 18 new science-stream posts at Donyi Polo Government College and five principal positions at government colleges in Geku, Basar, Palin, Roing and Tawang.
  • Recruitment rules were overhauled with the Agriculture Statistical Inspector Group-C Recruitment Rules 2024 replacing outdated regulations, forest service norms amended and the Arun Parivar Patra Authority Rules 2025 instituted to streamline governance procedures.
