Overview

• Putrasevics, 39, stabbed 62-year-old Astra Sirapina at her Burnaby Road home on December 10 and then arrived at a Coventry pharmacy covered in blood.
• He was arrested holding a knife and told staff he had killed someone before officers led him to the scene.
• He pleaded guilty this month to murder and possession of a bladed article at Coventry Crown Court.
• On June 19, the court sentenced him to a minimum of 22½ years in prison, rejecting his diminished responsibility defence.
