- The rail regulator awarded contracts totaling 32,873.6 million pesos for core corridors in the federal passenger‑rail revival.
- A Mota Engil México–led consortium won 70.7 km of the Querétaro–Irapuato route (Apaseo el Grande–Irapuato) for 20,203.9 million pesos; Milenio reported work is set to start October 16 with a 866‑day term.
- A GAMI Ingeniería e Instalaciones–led group secured 136.48 km of the Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo corridor (Arroyo El Sauz–Nuevo Laredo) for 12,669,670,550 pesos, with construction scheduled to begin October 13 over 1,054 days.
