arteBA 2025 Opens Aug. 29–31 at Costa Salguero With 67 Galleries and 400+ Artists

Early sales, with museum delegations in attendance, suggest a strong start.

  • VIP previews logged first acquisitions, including Marta Minujín’s Endemia, la guerra y mil cosas más at Herlitzka & Co. for the Balanz collection and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes’ purchase of Oscar Bony’s La cruz del diablo at MC Galería.
  • International scope expands with galleries from Paris, Caracas, São Paulo and Miami, alongside visiting institutions such as the Reina Sofía, the Guggenheim and the St. Louis Art Museum.
  • The Sección Principal was selected by an independent committee (María Casado, Inés Huergo, Florencia Malbrán, Lara Marmor, Pablo de Sousa), Utopía by Juan José Cambre and Santiago Villanueva, and the Zona de Diálogo Internacional by Aimé Iglesias Lukin.
  • The public program features the talk series Nuevas cartografías para el arte latinoamericano, and the fair renews prize and acquisition mechanisms, including stand distinctions (ARS 6,000,000 and ARS 4,000,000), a ARS 3,000,000 artist award, the Premio “en obra” and the USD 40,000 Fundación Santander prize.
  • General admission is ARS 14,000 with 50% discounts for students and seniors and free entry for people with disabilities (with a companion) and children under 10, while new-buyer tools include online gallery PDFs with prices, the Santander-backed Primera Obra financing up to USD 3,000 and on-site collecting advice.
