Overview

  • On July 25, the Secretaría de Economía certified Arte por la Libertad under the Hecho en México program during a ceremony unveiling new foreign trade ecosystem standards in Mexico City.
  • Omar Reyes Colmenares, head of the Prevention and Social Reintegration Agency, received the certification on behalf of the PRS and highlighted its role in strengthening security and governance in federal prisons.
  • A temporary exhibit at SE headquarters showcased select artisan pieces to illustrate how the quality seal validates social transformation and inmate creativity.
  • Certified products are now on sale to the public at a PRS storefront on Avenida Melchor Ocampo in Miguel Hidalgo, open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • The initiative supports Plan México’s goals by boosting domestic production content, promoting interagency collaboration, and expanding market access for goods made by persons deprived of liberty.
