Overview
- Art Basel published a reconfigured plan that will host 272 exhibitors and reduce the main Galleries sector from 226 to 203 stands, cutting the convention centre footprint by about 12 percent.
- The fair replaces its five large plazas with four and redistributes top dealers across the floor to open sightlines and reduce the bottlenecks that formed in previous editions.
- Major global galleries including Gagosian, White Cube, Pace and Hauser & Wirth are on the exhibitor list while a number of 2025 participants will not return and more than 30 galleries will appear for the first time.
- Zero 10 returns as 'Generation' with 19 digital projects curated by Karen Archey and Eli Scheinman, and Nicole Sales Giles has been named the inaugural global head of Zero 10.
- Organisers say the changes aim to boost gallery visibility and circulation, a move that could shift foot traffic and sales patterns and may especially help smaller and project‑based exhibitors to reach buyers.
