Despite Sevilla being the Europa League champions, their performance was described as 'desperately disappointing', managing only a single shot on target in the final kick of the game.
Midfielder Bukayo Saka set up Trossard's goal and then scored, highlighting Arsenal's superiority. However, Saka had to leave the pitch late on due to an injury after a series of rough tackles from Sevilla's team.
Despite their victory, Arsenal's primary concern is Saka's injury. The French club Lens would have secured Arsenal's qualification had they won their match against PSV Eindhoven. Unfortunately, Lens suffered a 1-0 defeat.
In the absence of a recognised centre-forward due to injuries, Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz stepped in, with Trossard impressing as a false nine. Despite being unconventional for the role, Trossard linked play well and scored confidently from Saka's cross.
