Overview
- Mexico State prosecutors executed in-custody arrest warrants for Brandon Jonathan “N”, Fátima Isabel “N” and María Fernanda “N” over the aggravated homicide and disappearance of priest Ernesto Baltazar Hernández Vilchis.
- Investigators say the priest’s body was abandoned on Oct. 30 in a Nextlalpan black-water canal after being wrapped in blankets and bags and secured to a sofa for transport.
- Authorities allege the priest went to a Tultitlán residence on Oct. 29 with Fátima Isabel “N”, where Brandon Jonathan “N” was present, they consumed alcohol and drugs, and the priest was fatally struck with a blunt object.
- A Nov. 9 search of the property recovered the victim’s clothing and priest’s stole plus cutting and blunt objects, with blood traces detected using the BlueStar test.
- The suspects were first detained Nov. 13–14 for disappearance, face potential penalties of up to 70 years for homicide, and investigators report the presumed material aggressor previously served 18 years for violent robbery.
