Arrest warrant issued for friend of NBA star Ja Morant over alleged assault during pickup basketball game

An arrest warrant was issued for Davonte Pack, a close friend of Ja Morant, for allegedly punching a teenager during a pickup basketball game at Morant's home in 2022.
Morant's lawyers acknowledge he punched the teen but argue he acted in self-defense under Tennessee's "stand your ground" law.
The teenager filed a lawsuit accusing Morant and Pack of assault, abuse, neglect and emotional distress.
Morant countersued the teenager for slander, battery and assault.
Morant is currently serving a 25-game NBA suspension for an unrelated incident involving videos of him with a firearm.
