• Police arrested 47-year-old Khomdram Ojit Singh, alias Keilal, an active PLA cadre out on bail, in a 1 am joint operation in Imphal West.
• Investigators say he confessed to the September 19 attack at Nambol Sabal Leikai that killed two Assam Rifles personnel and injured five, then fled toward Loktak Lake where weapons were hidden.
• Recovered items linked to the case include an A4 and an HK rifle, two AK rifles, an INSAS rifle, three lathode shells, hundreds of rounds, a mobile phone, a wallet and an Aadhaar card.
• Raids are continuing to locate accomplices after earlier detentions and the seizure of a suspected getaway van from Mutum Yangbi.
• Parallel operations netted nine cadres and 36 weapons across Manipur last week, while Assam Rifles in Mizoram seized an M4A1 in Zokhawthar, unearthed a G3, a sniper rifle and a mortar near Saikhumphai, and arrested three with 1.377 kg of heroin.
