Arrest and Charges Announced in Fatal Bobs Lake Boat Collision

A 44-year-old man faces multiple charges after a tragic boat crash near Kingston claimed three lives and injured five others in May.

The Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a man from South Frontenac Township in connection with the deadly boat crash on Bobs Lake.
The accused faces three counts each of dangerous and impaired operation causing death, as well as causing bodily harm.
The collision involved a speedboat and a fishing-style boat on May 18, resulting in the deaths of three young adults aged 21 to 23.
Five additional people were injured in the crash, which occurred around 9:30 p.m. in a narrow channel connecting Bobs Lake and Buck Bay.
A news conference is scheduled to provide further details on the investigation and charges, offering some resolution to the affected families.
