Army Names Four Night Stalkers Killed in MH-60M Training Crash Near JBLM

A formal probe by the Army Combat Readiness Center is underway to determine the cause.

  • U.S. Army Special Operations Command identified the fallen as Chief Warrant Officer 3 Andrew Cully, 35, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Andrew Kraus, 39, Sgt. Donavon Scott, 25, and Sgt. Jadalyn Good, 23.
  • All four served with the 4th Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, known as the Night Stalkers.
  • The MH-60M went down during routine night training on Sept. 17 near Summit Lake in Capitol National Forest, west of Olympia, at about 9 p.m. local time.
  • Investigators from the Army Combat Readiness Center have been dispatched, and the cause of the mishap remains undetermined.
  • USASOC said recovery operations involved military and civilian agencies and noted the crash sparked a roughly 1-acre wildfire reported by the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
