Overview
- Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi warned that India would not repeat the restraint shown in Operation Sindoor 1.0 and told Pakistan to end state-sponsored terrorism or “think whether it wants to be in the geography.”
- A day earlier in Bhuj, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh cautioned that any misadventure in the disputed Sir Creek sector would draw a decisive response strong enough to change “history and geography.”
- Singh cited a recent expansion of Pakistani military infrastructure near Sir Creek as a concern and said India’s Army and BSF are vigilantly guarding the sector.
- He also inaugurated a tidal-berthing facility and a Joint Control Centre at Sir Creek intended to boost joint coastal operations, coordination and rapid response.
- Indian leaders reiterated that May’s Operation Sindoor met its objectives and exposed Pakistani air defences, while air-combat loss claims remain disputed as India’s air chief says Pakistan lost 4–5 jets and dismisses Islamabad’s counterclaims.
