Overview

  • The series of four holdups occurred across Lincoln Park, Lakeview and Northalsted within a 35-minute span on the night of June 9.
  • At least three victims were held at gunpoint by masked men who demanded valuables from a 47-year-old woman, two women in their 20s and a 20-year-old DePaul student.
  • Witnesses described two Black male suspects wearing black clothing and masks who emerged from a white Honda CR-V in each incident.
  • Police found the abandoned white SUV in the 4300 block of West Gladys in West Garfield Park less than 30 minutes after the final robbery.
  • No injuries have been reported and Area Three detectives have made no arrests as they investigate possible links among the crimes.
