Overview

• Gunmen seized multiple vehicles to block the Quiroga–Pátzcuaro route near the Sanabria junction and by Bonilla, shooting at units and setting a Nissan Frontier on fire.
• Damaged vehicles included buses, a trailer platform, a Nissan Tsuru, a Ford Fiesta and a Nissan Sentra, with multiple spent shell casings recovered at the scenes.
• Municipal police, the state prosecutor’s office, the National Guard and the Army secured the areas, removed the obstructions and opened investigations.
• Firefighters extinguished the blaze and authorities restored traffic around 4:30 a.m., with no victims reported and the perpetrators still unidentified.
