Armed Guard Indicted for Sexually Assaulting Asylum Seeker

An armed security guard at a federal building in New York City was charged with sexually assaulting an asylum seeker.
Jimmy Solano-Arias, 42, claimed the act was consensual, but the victim reported it to authorities and identified him in a photo array.
Solano-Arias worked for a security company contracted by the Federal Protective Service to guard the building where the FBI has offices.
Solano-Arias faces up to life in prison if convicted of the charges, which include deprivation of rights, kidnapping and aggravated sexual abuse.
The victim was part of a wave of migrants fleeing difficulties in Latin America; she reported the assault immediately after it happened.
