Overview

• Deputies arrived just before 3:30 a.m. Friday at a home on the 3900 block of North Galesburg Avenue and found a person with a gunshot wound to the face.
• Emergency crews administered life-saving measures on scene before rushing the wounded individual to a nearby hospital, where they are now recovering.
• No arrests have been made and investigators have not identified a motive as the Cook County sheriff’s office continues its inquiry.
• SkyCam 9 footage from around 7:30 a.m. showed deputies surrounding the residence and securing the perimeter.
