Arla Reports Record Profit Growth and Unprecedented Farmer Payouts

The European dairy cooperative achieved €401 million in profits for 2024, enabling its largest-ever milk payment to farmers.

Arla's 2024 revenue rose to €13.8 billion, up from €13.7 billion in 2023, while profits increased from €380 million to €401 million.
The cooperative announced a record milk payment of 2.2 cents per kilogram for farmers, marking the highest in its history.
The average price for conventional milk in Germany reached 49.64 cents per kilogram in 2024, an increase of over three cents compared to 2023.
Arla operates significant facilities in Pronsfeld (Rhineland-Palatinate) and Upahl (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), processing vast quantities of milk from regional farmers.
The Upahl facility alone processes approximately 500 million kilograms of milk annually, supplied by 330 local farmers and employing 430 workers.
