Arkansas Teacher Sentenced to 13 Years for Repeated Sexual Abuse of Student

Heather Hare, once honored on national TV, will serve federal prison time and lifetime supervised release for exploiting her position of trust.

Heather Hare, 33, abused a high school senior repeatedly over the 2021-2022 school year.
The abuse included incidents at her home, in her car, and during a school trip to Washington, D.C.
Hare pleaded guilty to transporting a minor across state lines for unlawful sexual activity.
She was sentenced to 13 years in federal prison and 20 years concurrently in a state case.
Hare was also featured on Good Morning America in 2020 for a student-made video.
