- Ark: Survival Ascended has an online multiplayer mode, supporting up to 70 players concurrently in public sessions, and up to eight in private sessions. There's also a local split-screen co-op mode for two players.
- The game's improvements, built on Unreal Engine 5, include superior lighting through the Lumen illumination system, and a more efficient method of rendering graphics with Nanite mesh rendering.
